One last thing

It is absolutely killing me to not be able to know or tell how I am doing.  I know Barbri tries to combat this with percentages of completion, through the percentile score in the Study Smart software, and the interactive paced program percentiles for the "big six."  But if I follow Barbri...I'm definitely going to fail.

I hope Barbri is wrong.

  1. There's no way Barbri can be right for everyone. That's impossible. Sort of like how the LSAT doesn't really reflect how well you'll do in law school. I don't think Barbri can accurately reflect or predict how each person will do? Right? I think what's more important is how good of a grasp you have on the law, whether you can issue-spot on the essays, and make good arguments. From the posts I've read from you, you seem to be doing more than anyone else I know. I think that should count for something! :)

  2. I have one more gripe.

Barbri says, "we make our MBE questions HARDER so that way you'll be way prepared for the real MBE."

You know what would make me feel great right now? If Barbri would give a legit MBE. One that's not easier. Or harder. But real. I want a real reflection of the real MBE so I can have a real idea of where I stand.

Why is that so much to ask?

  3. I know! What is Barbri's problem? Every time I see my "percentile" score and it is so low I want to strangle Conviser.

Ugh. What I should be doing is more evidence crap instead of posting blogs. But..alas...

Thanks for the encouragement -- I don't think I'm doing more than anyone else. I don't think I've ever put in a 12 hour day. Not too sure. Don't keep track. And I take breaks often.

That damn dance song is stuck in my head that says "gotta get through this." Ugh!

  4. I take a lot of breaks too, and while I may study for a 16 hour period I know it's not a full 16. I eat, blog, play with my dog, get distracted, etc, etc. It's probably more like 9, or 10? I don't know. I'd like to know if anyone out there can actually put in a full 12 hours?? I keep thinking that the majority of people out there studying are not nearly as prepared or are not putting in as much time. I read one girl's blog and she would go to the Barbri lecture for 3.5 hours and be done for the day. That's what she did until the lectures ended. ????? I'm sure the both of us were doing lecture, study, study, study, essay, MBE, study, study. I watched a podcast yesterday about being positive for the exam: "If you think you'll pass, you'll pass." Of course thinking that without studying will not work but I think if we look at everything we've done this summer and believe we're prepared then we should go into the testing room & be totally confident. We're [almost] ready to show those bar examiners what we've got. :)

    Good luck today!!
